Lovelace actress Amanda Seyfried is beautiful, multi-talented and fit. In Hollywood however, the 28-year-old star has been considered "overweight." Amanda opens up about her struggles in Hollywood and the perception of being overweight in the acting world.

"Fun fact: I almost lost out on several roles in my career because I was overweight. Wrong, America," the Les Miserables actress tweeted on October 18. There is no word on what prompted the actress's tweet, but this isn't the first time that she has spoken out about weight.

In 2011, the Ted 2 star opened up about how hard it is to stay fit enough to work in Hollywood. "I clearly like being fit, but it's not thin without a hell of a lot of work — I run and I exercise a lot and then I eat," Amanda told AOL's StyleList via Huffington Post.

"I have to stay in shape because I'm an actress. It's f--ked up and it's twisted, but I wouldn't get the roles otherwise. If I'd been bigger, I don't think they would have cast me for Mamma Mia!" the star revealed to the publication. "If I have to diet, it's salad with protein, salmon and broccoli, no dessert. But what kind of life is that? So I work out a lot and I'm just pretty moderate about what I eat."

When Amanda was on the Pasternak's 5-Factor Program, her trainer revealed that she works hard for what she has. "She works out really hard and looks phenomenal. She knows what it takes and doesn't need to spend a whole lot of time in the gym," celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak told Shape in 2011.

In happier news, Amanda will be staring in The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway this month. She will be starring alongside Melanie Griffith, Nina Dobrev, Pablo Schreiber, Peter Dinklage and Uzo Aduba, according to The Guardian. The production consists of the actors, writers and directors coming up with six original plays over the course of one day. The production will take place on November 17 at the American Airlines Theater.
