CBS Announces Premiere Date For ‘The Mentalist' Final Season And More, Plus The CW Fall Finale Are Dates Revealed

Fall TV is coming up on the halfway point this year, so networks such as CBS and The CW are announcing changes to their line up. CBS has announced when The Mentalist will start its seventh and final season, while The CW has revealed its fall finale dates.

The Mentalist will return on Sunday, November 30, CBS announced on Tuesday. TV Guide reported that when both The Good Wife and Madam Secretary make their winter return on January 4, The Mentalist will switch to Wednesdays. The network also announced that the series finale for the crime show would air on February 18.

CBS revealed that Undercover Boss would come back for three special Sunday broadcasts on December 14, 21 and 28. The reality series will switch to its regular time slot on Friday, January 2.

"One of the goals this season was to keep expanding our lineup of year-round, original programming and have fewer repeat cycles," Kelly Kahl, senior executive vice president of CBS Primetime, said in a statement via E! Online. "We're fortunate to have two popular, proven ratings winners in The Mentalist and Undercover Boss to seamlessly join our schedule."

Lastly, the network said that both Survivor and The Amazing Race would finish their seasons on Dec. 17 and Dec. 19 respectively.

The CW, on the other hand, is focusing on its midseason finales by announcing that fall finale dates of some of its hit shows. According to TV Line, The CW has eight of its series going on hiatus in early December. The exact dates are as follows: The 100's last episode before its break will be December 17, Arrow will air on December 10 and The Flash will air on December 9.

Both The Vampire Diaries and Reign's last episode before the holidays will be on December 11. The Originals will air on December 8, Supernatural on December 9 and Jane the Virgin on December 15.
