Harrison Barnes is hoping to make an even bigger impact in the 2014-15 NBA season, and thanks to his fitness levels he might just do that. In a Red Bull exclusive, the former North Carolina NCAA star has revealed a lot of his secrets. The youngster is currently with the Golden State Warriors and is a vital part of their very attractive, successful style of basketball. Barnes has taken the time to tell the world exactly why he finds his court-game so easy.

He explained, saying, "My fitness plays a huge part into my success as a basketball player. Doing things that make your body fire right, to be as explosive as you can, to make sure to be as fast as you can, those are the things that separate the great athletes from the good athletes."

Barnes had a brilliant rookie season in 2013, but he spent most of last season coming off of the bench, and he's not standing for that. The star has upped his fitness to ensure he's a first-team regular once again. He has worked on his entire body all summer, and now he can move from defense to offense quicker than ever before. What coach doesn't want a player like that on the floor?

Barnes concluded, saying, "Competition in the NBA is the best in the world, and to be able to play in it night in, and night out, is really tough. I think about competition all the time. When I'm training, I think about who are the guys who are tough for me to guard from a physical standpoint. And how I can improve on that to get ready for this season."

Will Barnes show his worth this season?
