'RHOA' Claudia Jordan Bankruptcy Drama: Bravo Atlanta Housewife, Former 'Celebrity Apprentice' Star Talks Money Troubles!

Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan is bringing the drama to the seventh season of the reality show staple, but it's her drama off screen that pales in comparison.

In 2012, the former Celebrity Apprentice contestant had filed for bankruptcy due to bad decision-making when it came to her finances.

"I definitely had money and lost it all and got it back, lost it all again and now I'm on the upswing," she told Radar Online. "I was a victim of some predatory loans, and I remember I was depressed for a while to the point I was actually suicidal."

Many different events in her life occurred at the same time, which led her to hit rock bottom.

"I lost everything, including my real estate," she told the site. "I was very proud of buying all my real estate on my own and [then] my show got canceled, I went through a divorce, basically I lost my work. Everything happened at the same time and I was depressed."

"I laid in bed for months, and honestly I didn't work," she continued. "I was depressed and I fell behind."

On top of that, the former The Price is Right model lost even more money trying to get out of debt.

"There was someone that came to me that said, 'Hey, I can help you. I can thaw it out,'" according to Radar. "I paid him $10,000 and he started to file the bankruptcy proceedings, but then we never followed through with it."

Claudia found light at the end of the tunnel and didn't have to follow through with bankruptcy proceedings because she was able to pay off her debts.

With her new gig on RHOA, the former Deal or No Deal star wants to be an example for others who are going through the same downward spiral she went through.

"There's a lot of people out there that are dealing with a lot of sadness and adversity and I want them to look to me like, 'Wow, if she dug herself out of that hole, then there is hope for me,'" she exclaimed.
