Despicable Me and the Toy Story movie franchises are set for a massive boom, with Minions set to follow up the first series, and Toy Story 4 being added to the must-have trilogy. With a ton of buzz surrounding both films, it's obvious that the two would draw comparisons with one another. Minions will hit our screens in the summer of 2015, while we will have to wait an extra two years, until 2017, for TS4, but, which film will be better? Despite a massive wait, director John Lasseter has revealed why their Disney Pixar film will be a great addition to the series. Watch the Minions trailer below and you'll see it's going to be SENSATIONAL, but will Lasseter's film top that two years later?

Despicable Me has been a revelation, with many fans falling in love with the film franchise and the minion characters. In fact, the love, hype and buzz around these characters was too much to handle. It created such a demand that they've landed their very own film. The loveable, yet villainous characters can be seen on magazines, t-shirts and in toy shops across the world, and when they hit the cinema screens during the sizzling summer of 2015, they're sure to complete their takeover of the animated world.

However, the details of a new Toy Story movie may cause a bump in that takeover road. Buzz, Woody and all of their friends are coming back for one last film. The original hit our screens almost two decades ago, but now they're added another film to their decorated series, and on top of that, the original director, Lasseter, is back to make sure it's a film worth watching.

Lasseter explained, "We love these characters so much; they are like family to us. We don't want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what's gone before. When Andrew, Pete, Lee and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie - and I wanted to direct it myself/"

Just how good will these films be, and which will perform better, despite their two-year gap between their summer releases?
