It would appear safe to say that Olivia Munn's road to stardom has been a rather interesting one. The actress kicked off her career studying journalism, then moved to playing a faux reporter for Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and finally a fictional journalist on HBO's The Newsroom opposite Dumb and Dumber To's Jeff Daniels. So, we guess you could say that journalism was always in Munn's blood... just not enough to do it for a living, of course. Now, however, the Aaron Sorkin-led series is coming to an end, and it looks like the 34-year-old actress has much to say on the topic!

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the former Daily Show correspondent talks about the upcoming end of the now famed HBO program, which she admits was "pretty amazing."

On her road to the spotlight, Munn tells RS it was "dizzying." Further commenting, "But the weird thing was, journalism school ended up being the best preparation I could have had for doing both the Daily Show and [The Newsroom]." Instead of mimicking some idea of what a journalist does, or having my idea of being a reporter based solely on someone you'd see on TV, I could pull things from my own experience."

Check out the trailer for Season 3 below.

Season 3 of The Newsroom kicked off last night, Nov. 9. MStars News recapped the episode –– check that out hereThe shortened season will consist of six episodes, so time to catch up is limited. Get on it!

For now, what's in store? Not sure, but we surely guarantee some fast-paced dialogue. After all, it is Aaron Sorkin. But seeing how Munn admitted that she is the only person the writer has EVER told to slow down, it seems safe to say she can handle it.
