As MStars News has been following the devastating news of MTV The Challenge star Diem Brown's loss to cancer, a new report from a friend who was with her during her final days tells an amazing story of what happened before and after her death.

It's wildly clear that Brown had a deep craving for life mixed with a warrior defiance against cancer, however, she had fought too long and too hard –– it was time for her to be in peace.

"We kept telling her, 'this is not giving up. You have fought enough,'" close friend Julie Rotondi tells People magazine, who has been covering Brown's cancer journey through the years.

One of Brown's last tweets read, "I NEED PRAyErs and advice my doctors are seemingly giving up but I won't & can't rollover. Whatever option I have to LIVE I'm grabbing!"

The reality-TV star decided to stop further treatments Thursday (Nov. 13) as there was little more medicine could do for her spreading cancer. With this harrowing decision came a fear that she thought fans would see as weakness, as her story and fight was an astonishing inspiration to others.

"It wasn't about giving up. In the end, it was like, 'Do you want to keep fighting?' In the end, there is nothing they can do. It just became so aggressive, so fast. The cancer was just multiplying at such an aggressive rate that nothing could keep up. Any treatment that could have maybe prolonged [her life] for a week or two and it would have been a horrible, horrible ending," Rotondi sadly stated.

Today, friends and fans have been mourning the loss of Brown, however, recollecting her prevailing nature to live and beat the odds.

"She was defying everything they were saying. They were completely amazed to see her make it though the night. It was literally a miracle."

Brown passed away surrounded by her sister Megan, her father, brother and her father's fiancé. Diem died peacefully after a priest led a serenity prayer. Then in true Diem spirit, something amazing happened.

At 10:22 a.m., after her death the hospitals fire alarm went off. "There were strobe lights, and it was so loud – like a dance club," Rotondi recalled. "All of our hearts stopped. It was classic Diem. She was up there having her dance off. It could not have ben more fitting. It was like, 'Yep, She did that.'"
