Will Ferrell in prison with Kevin Hart training him on how to survive? Sounds funny, right? Well, that's the premise of the new movie starring two of the world's favorite comedians, Ferrell and Hart, who have finally teamed up for a movie... and judging by these sneak peek pics from Get Hard, it could be amazing.

USA Today have revealed that Get Hard will star Ferrell as James King, a white collar money embezzler who is sentenced to hard time in San Quentin, and enlists the dubious help of Hart's fake-streetwise car-washer Darnell to whip him into prison shape before getting tossed in the slammer.

As Ferrell tells USA Today "I wrongly assume he has a criminal record. And before he punches me in the face for that, I offer him too much money to say no." The clincher is that Hart's character Darnell "is pretending to be a thug so he can help his family to a better life. That's the leaping-off point."

Reportedly the two men then go through a prison training routine, with Hart showing Ferrell what he assumes are the ropes, and toughen him up before doing his time. USA Today also say that at point Hart tries to enlist an LA gang to help provide protection for Ferrell inside prison (hence the get up Ferrell is sporting below).

As the piece points out, the comedic pair have teamed up after spending years reportedly searching for a project that would enable them to combine their considerable comedic talents. And, as Hart explains, it led to the pair enjoying toying with the script and improvising their lines.  "Come on, man, you have Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart, you know doggone well we're not staying on the script. There was tons of improv. Sometimes it would fall flat, and then we'd nail it - home run."

Hart posted an update to his instagram earlier this year when the movie wrapped, saying "This movie is something special, we took comedy to another level with this one...we pushed the envelope as far as it could be pushed!!!"

According to comingsoon.net, the movie "also stars Alison Brie, Edwina Findley and Craig T. Nelson". It will be directed by first-time director Etan Cohen (who helped write Men In Black 3, Tropic Thunder and Idiocracy), and written by Key & Peele's Jay Martel and Ian Roberts. The release date for Get Hard is slated as March 27, 2015.
