Once Upon a Time is nearing its midseason finale and as its Frozen storyline comes to an end Ginnifer Goodwin is reflecting on what the Frozen characters have brought to the show this season. The 36-year-old actress is also opening about her character Snow White and how she's dealing with motherhood a second time.

Season four of Once Upon a Time has revolved around Disney's Frozen characters coming to Storybrooke and causing drama. With the addition of Elsa (played by Georgina Haig) and Anna (played by Elizabeth Lail) the series' creators have managed to blend an animated hit into their successful fairytale show.

"I think that Frozen is a perfect fit for us. Everything was inspired by the animated feature, but is not a direct representation of it," Ginnifer told TV Guide during a recent set visit.

The combination of the new fairytale characters and the classic storybook characters was a challenge, but definitely paid off for the show. "It's kind of like doing a historical character, where you have to watch them and figure out how they move or speak," Elizabeth told the publication. Although she loves her iconic character, she admitted, "[I] probably won't wear braids for a very long time after this."

When TV Guide visited the Vancouver set of Once Upon a Time, Ginnifer opened up about her character Mary Margaret (or Snow White) and her trouble this season discovering how to be a good mother without succumbing to the guilt she feels for never being there for her first child, Emma.

"Her journey this season is finding a place where she can let go of the guilt over having let Emma go as a child and also, trying to find her self-worth as a mother," the actress explained.

Snow and Charming (or David), who is played by Ginnifer's real-life husband Josh Dallas, have now welcomed their second child, Baby Neal, and despite their parent issues, they are the most loved couple on the series. "Out of all the couples on the show, Snow and Charming have the truest and purest love. And to have two halves of one heart, you can't get any stronger than that," Josh revealed to TV Guide.

What do you think will happen on Once before the midseason finale on Dec. 14?
