Thierry Henry: New York Red Bulls To Arsenal?

Thierry Henry has had a magnificent career, performing at the highest soccer levels for a long, long time. However, today he announced that the latest chapter in his career was over. The veteran forward is leaving the New York Red Bulls, and probably the MLS all together. His former club, Arsenal, of the Premier League, isn't in need of a forward, but could he return in a coaching role if not as a player? He's admitted that he will announce his next steps soon, but what will the former French international decide to do?

Henry has graced the Gunners' kit a couple of times, and during his off-time he often visits his former club, as well as training with them. Often in sports there's that one team that captures a players heart like no other, and for Henry the Gunners are that team. It'd be impossible for him to turn them down, unless they ask for an early closure of the door that covers his playing career.

He explained his decision, saying, "The decision has always been that I would leave after the duration of my contract. I'll take the next few weeks to decide on the next chapter of my career."

Another option that's sure to present itself to Henry is a return to his homeland, France, where a club like Paris Saint-Germain F.C. or AS Monaco could provide him with an opportunity to play in Europe, and in front of millions of his already adoring supporters. He explained a return to England is possible, saying, "The second certainty is that I would love to see Arsenal win the Champions League. Whether that is from near or far does not depend on me, but it is sure I'd like to help. This is my club and, as a player, I was not able to give them the Champions League."
