The current Ferguson protests – which began as a result of the "no indictment" decision against former Officer Darren Wilson surrounding the murder of unarmed teen Michael Brown – have caused quite a bit of stir in the news these days, especially after a number of St. Louis Rams players sported the "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" gesture during one of their games. And following the St. Louis police asking the NFL apologize for the gesture (in which the Rams' coach basically told them to screw off), there's been much discussion about "black-on-black" crime, something The Daily Show with Jon Stewart easily picked up on. To further the discussion, the Comedy Central hit brought in their Senior Black Correspondent, Larry Wilmore, who will replace Stephen Colbert with The Nightly Show when The Colbert Report ends.

Wilmore kicked off his portion of the show by first pleading we stop calling it "black-on-black" crime. "It's just crime!" he said, before joking that the term "black-on-black" sounds more like a term on RedTube –– which is a NSFW porn site, by the way.

"You don't think a conversation on black-on-black crime should be happening right now?" asked Stewart. To which Wilmore claimed that it is but it's more of a black-on-black conversation... mainly at black churches on Sundays. Which he doesn't seem to attend –– and neither does Stewart.

Watch Wilmore's take on the term as well as his thoughts on racism below:

So, how do we end racism? Wilmore claims that it's "part of our DNA" and that we as a society are "race-a-holics." "We'll always be in recovery," he says. "The best we can hope for is to manage it." So forget about that 30-day chip, folks.

Readers, do you agree? Are we race-a-holics?
