Martin Scorsese's next great venture is ready to come to a TV near you. The new Rock 'n' Roll drama has officially been picked up from HBO.

Martin's new untitled drama has been greenlit by the network and based on the cast it is already becoming one of our favorite new shows. The Rock 'n' Roll hour-long series is going to be set in the 1970s in New York.

According to the network via TV Guide, "the drug-and sex-fueled music business as punk and disco were breaking out, all through the eyes of a record executive trying to resurrect his label and find the next new sound."

The new series already has a killer cast attached to it including Olivia Wilde. Olivia (who just had her first child with fiancé Jason Sudeikis) will play Richie's wife Devon, a former model that must return to her Bohemian lifestyle, TV Guide reported.

Other stars include Bobby Cannavale (from Boardwalk Empire) as Richie Finestra and Ray Romano (from Everybody Loves Raymond) as Zak Yankovich. The publication explained that Richie is "the founder and president of a record label who undergoes a crisis of character when confronted with a life-altering decision." Zak on the other hand is "the head of promotions at Richie's label, American Century, who has ties to the industry's mob past."

Juno Temple is set to play Jamie Vine, an A&R assistant and Andrew "Dice" Clay will play Frank "Buck" Rogers, who is the head of a "cocaine-fueled" radio station. Ato Essandoh, Max Casella, James Jagger, Joe Caniano, Jack Quaid, Birgitte Sorenson, P.J. Byrne, J.C. MacKenzie, Bo Dietl, , Robert Funaro and Armen Garo will also reportedly star in the upcoming series.

According to TV Line, in addition to Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger will also executive produce the series. Terence Winter will act as showrunner, writer and another executive producer. Rick Yorn, Emma Tillinger Koskoff and George Mastras will all be working on the project as well.
