Kevin Hart is allegedly a money "whore" according to Sony executives. It's the latest alleged email leak from the Sony hack, which has already released emails regarding Seth Rogen and James Franco's movie The Interview, as well as other stars such as Adam Sandler, Angelina Jolie, Michael Fassbender and director David Fincher. The diminutive Hart, it is alleged, asked for more money to provide a "social media blitzkreig" to promote one of his movies, prompting executive to call him a "whore."

As Gawker revealed, the leaks apparently show Sony debating whether or not to pay Hart for use of his social media to promote one of his films, most likely Think Like A Man Too. In the email seemingly between Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal, studio exec Clint Culpepper, and Sony Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton, Culpepper calls Hart a "whore" saying, "I'm not saying he's a whore, but he's a whore."

TMZ reports that the leaked emails show Culpepper "complaining that Kevin made $3 million and then $4 million for his last 2 Sony flicks, yet when he was asked to tweet out a plug for Think Like a Man Too, his agent balked because he felt Kevin's expertise in social media was worth additional money."

Read a part of the alleged leaked email (via Gawker):

It's not as if we paid him 3M and 4M respectively for his last 2 films thinking he might be nominated. We paid for his ability to open a film which included his social media savvy. I feel like this is something that should be negotiated going into the film as opposed to after the fact. It feels tantamount to

buying a car and then upon picking it up being told that the engine will cost extra. I'm tempted to suggest we call his bluff. If he doesn't do his normal routine, his film will not open as well and his brand will appear diminished and he will- in fact - be f--king himself because we have his next 2 immediate films. And then there's the social media precedent we're setting...especially in light of the fact that Channing is at the same agency.

What you have to wonder is ... who the hell is negotiating these deals? Surely someone should be making sure that "promoting by various social media avenues in the lead up to said film's release" is written into contracts, right? Especially for someone like the height-challenged Hart, whose popularity on Twitter alone has seen him 14.4 million fans of kinda-funny comedy.

Anyway, as Mstars News has reported, the Sony leaks have also affected other top stars, including allegedly showing Angelina Jolie being called a "spoiled brat" by the producer behind Captain Phillips and Moneyball — the latter which starred her husband, actor Brad Pitt.

Perhaps it shouldn't come as a surprise. As Complex points out "These execs basically take a shit on stars like Angelina Jolie and Kevin Hart, which, perhaps, comes with the territory when your job is to transform people into human commodities."

What do you think? Should Hart have been paid more to promote his movies? Or is that the studio's job?

The well-timed leaks come at an obviously well-planned, opportune time; Franco and Rogen's The Interview is released on Christmas Day, while Kevin Hart appears in Chris Rock's new movie Top Five which is out this week. You can watch the trailer for it below... no word on whether or not there will be a "social media blitzkreig" from Hart to go with it.
