The Season 3 series finale of Aaron Sorkin's political drama,The Newsroom, has finally arrived on HBO. Can news anchorman Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) deal with Charlie Skinner (Sam Waterston)'s funeral in 'What Kind of Day Has It Been?'

During Charlie Skinner's funeral, MacKenzie McHale (Emily Mortimer) reveals to Will that she is pregnant. In the flashbacks, Charlie notices how Will just wants to play it cool with the news, not offend anybody, and bask in the dating game. Charlie tells Will the most rewarding experience is being a father.

The flashbacks continue as Charlie tries to convince Mac to take the job at ACN. He knows Mac will inspire Will to finally do his job right. After talking about the deal to Jim, Mac shows up before Will's panel discussion and helps her future intern ask the question, "What makes America so great?"

Mac though doesn't understand why she's in meeting with Lucas Pruitt (B.J. Novak) and Leona Lansing (Jane Fonda). Lucas is having a PR problem with the way he handles women at his work force. The only way Lucas can make things right is by promoting Mac as Charlie Skinner's replacement.

Sloan (Olivia Munn) and Don (Thomas Sadoski) are feeling uneasy  at the funeral. they think are the cause for Charlie's heart attack. Even as they try to explain to Will what happened, it doesn't ring them any comfort.

Don meets with Charlie's wife, who explains to him why it's not his fault. Charlie didn't want Don to put the raped victim and her rapist on television together. He died fighting for Sloan and Mac because he believed in them and what they stood for.

Will meets with Charlie's nephew and starts playing the guitar, singing his favorite song. He knows the nephew is having a difficult time with his parents divorce and promises to be there for him. At that moment, Will gives the eulogy in front of his entire crew, reminding them how strong and dedicated Charlie was.

Jim (John Gallagher Jr.) and Maggie (Allison Pill) are having an argument over her new job position, which takes her to Washington D.C. At first, Maggie doesn't think Jim wants her around, which is why he recommended her. But then, she's worried Jim doesn't think the relationship is serious enough.

Maggie does want to go to Washington for the job, and Jim will support her. He will even travel his way there, to keep the long-distance relationship going. Jim is willing to do all that because he's in love with her; which shocks the hell out of Maggie.

Returning back from exile, Neal (Dev Patel) is back at work. The first thing he does is embarrass his replacements, who have made a mockery of the site. As their boss, Neal has a crew now to undo everything they did and bring the site to a professional standard.

Back at the office, the staff knows Mac is pregnant and her job promotion. Everyone has gathered to the news studio to watch Will take his rightful place. Just as the cameras go live, Will introduces himself to the audience.

Life continues on for the ACN news team in the series finale ofThe Newsroom. Readers, what did you think of What Kind of Day Has It Been?
