San Francisco — and future Michigan? — head coach Jim Harbaugh, Boston Red Sox left fielder Hanley Ramírez, Detroit Tigers DH Víctor Martínez, former Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies closer Brad Lidge and NASCAR driver Greg Biffle are all celebrating birthdays today, Dec. 23.

You have to wonder how being born two days before Christmas affected these athletes's gift-getting childhoods. That said, all can afford quite nice holiday seasons now.

Here's what you need to know about this special crop on their special day.

Who's the oldest?

That would be Harbaugh, who's 50. Many felt he could be blowing out his candles somewhere in Ann Arbor. The 49ers coach has taken San Francisco to three straight NFC championship games, but has fallen out of favor in the organization folllowing a dissapointing season. The University of Michigan recently offered Harbaugh a $42 million contract, according to the Daily Beast. Harbaugh played quarterback for the Wolverines.

Who has the most to celebrate?

Hanley Ramírez, now 31, signed a four-year, $88 million contract with the Red Sox earlier this winter. Ramirez came up with the Red Sox before being traded before making his major league debut. He went on to make All-Star teams with the Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Dodgers. Ramirez played shorstop his whole career, but the Red Sox plan to move him to left field, according to NBC.

Whose best years are behind them?

Lidge saved 221 games over seven seasons for the Astros and Phillies. His reached his career zenith in 2008 when he recorded a strikeout for the final out of the World Series. Lidge retired in 2012. He turned 38 today.

Who has the most to look forward to?

Víctor Martínez, 36. The designated hitter signed a four-year extension with the Tigers recently, ensuring he'll spend his MLB golden years in the same lineup as super-slugger Miguel Cabrera. That means Martinez will see a lot more fastballs, which is basically every hitter's birthday wish.

Who couldn't we think up a question for?

Sorry, Biff, But happy 45th birthday!
