It appears that two women of Alpha Kappa Alpha have been suspended following their participation of the controversial show, Sorority Sisters. MStars News previously reported that April McRae and Rwanda Hammond, who goes by Joy, were put on suspension until 2016.

Even TV One host Roland Martin got into the mix and retweeted the news:

But on Monday night the ladies had a lot to say as they sat down with VH1 in a special that was called The Dialogue to defend themselves on why they decided to do such a controversial show, that has obviously lost a lot of support, advertisement, and even caused the girls to receive death threats.

When asked by the host Tanika Ray if they were scared about their letters being taken away, the ladies one by one shared their thoughts.

"I have always said, and I will always feel like this ... I was Metoya before I was a Delta, and I will be Metoya after Delta if they choose to take that away from me," Metoya Monroe stated.

April, who has allegedly been suspended said, "We all care, because if we get kicked out because of a reality show, because we choose to better our careers, I think that it is what it is." She continued, "I don't think any of us said that when we pledged our sororities we were going to live a perfect life."

April claims that she tried to reach out to her organization to let them know about the show, but her actions seemed to have made AKA unmoved.

"I wanted to be very clear, where my position was as it relates to why I was on the show." April continues, "It was not to defame our organization, to exploit it or to use the sorority for financial gain ... I wanted to have a conversation with them before it even got to this point."

When the ladies were asked, if they could talk to their organizations face to face what would they say, April becomes emotional as she says, "First off let me say, 'I'm sorry...'" as she begans to cry. "It was never my intention to sign up on a show to disrespect my sorority, or to offend it, or to make it look like something that's it's not ... This is my personal life, this is my journey I am a woman that is growing everyday, changing as life comes about."

Metoya said, "I didn't do this for the the money. Everybody doesn't always get along and I think it's naive of us to act like we do. I do not get along with every woman that I come across, yet we can be adults about the situation. I don't think that I should be ashamed of what I pledged, because I pledged to get into this organization (Delta Sigma Theta.)"

When the three loudest ladies were asked do they think that they have caused harm to their reputation?

Adrene Ashford chimes in and says, "I have typically been a private person, so for people who don't know me ... different surroundings, different areas of my life, I come from a entertainment fashion industry we're known for being loud and full of 'A' personalities. That's the culture that I come from. I am also bi-racial I have a lot of diverse emotions inside of me and in different circumstances I can give you a different person."
