FX's 'The Americans' Season 3 Recap: 'Salang Pass': Will Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys Sleep With Kimberly?

Season 3 of The Americans continues with an all-new episode on FX. As the espionage/family drama picks up from last season's cliff-hanger, will undercover spies Elizabeth (Keri Russell) and Philip (Matthew Rhys) Jennings take the next step with Kimberly (Julia Garner) in 'Salang Pass?'

As Clarke, Philip looks into an adoption agency and sees a room full of foster kids. At a playground, as Michelle, Elizabeth meets with Lisa and offers to help her sober up. In his meeting with Oleg Burov (Costa Ronin), Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) wants to trade his defector, who's really a spy, to save Nina (Annet Mahendru). 

Before his next date, Elizabeth wants to know what Kimberly is like. At the dinner table, Stan jokes around with the kids, and congratulates Paige (Holly Taylor) about her baptism; which makes things awkward. 

While Elizabeth eyes her target, as Jim, Philip offers Kimberly to drive her home. She lied to her parents and told them she was at the movies.  On the 11th, her parents will be at a fundraiser, which leaves her alone at the house. 

Lisa tells Michelle (Elizabeth) about her promotion in the FBI. Oleg uses his charm to get info on Stan's defector. At a shop, Paige and Philip go over dresses for her baptism. Stan talks with Philip about Sandra, and his teenage son, Matthew, who he doesn't understand. Philip tells Stan to bring Tori (Callie Thorne) over to his place, to make their date easier. Elizabeth then kills her target, crushing his body with his car; which gets Lisa her promotion. 

Elizabeth and Philip continue arguing over Paige's baptism. During their second meeting, Oleg and Stan realize Nina is short on time and the defector is their only chance. Philip tells Gabriel (Frank Langella) that he isn't too pleased with his mission. Gabriel warns Philip that his conscience can be a dangerous thing.

Kimberly invites Philip (Jim) over to her bedroom. After smoking pot at the front porch, Kimberly and Philip mix ice cream with popcorn. The two laugh as they throw popcorn at each other's faces. While Kimberly sleeps on the couch, Philip sneaks into her father's room, finds his briefcase, and takes pictures. After carrying Kimberly back to her bedroom, Philip runs out the door just before her father arrives.

Back at home, Philip tells Elizabeth about the briefcase. Stoned out of his mind, Philip remembers sleeping with different men and woman. He feels bad for Kimberly, asking Elizabeth if he should sleep with her; she doesn't know.
