Season 3 of The Americans continues with the spy couple unveiling an all-new episode on FX. As the relationship with their latest target, Kimberly (Julia Garner), heats up, are Elizabeth (Keri Russell), Paige (Holly Taylor), and Philip (Matthew Rhys) Jennings about "ready to explode?"

In our previous recap, as her baptism loomed close, Paige was already picking out her dress, much to the dismay of her parents. In the spy game, Kimberly wanted to become more intimate with Jim. Philip asks Elizabeth if he should sleep with the teenage girl. Unfortunately, Elizabeth doesn't have an answer for him.

In our recent recap, while Elizabeth took the newly baptized Paige on a road trip, Gabriel dropped a huge bombshell on Philip; he has another son. Manipulated b Gabriel, Philip was unable to tell Elizabeth before about the shocking news. Philip went to Kimberly instead and asked her to pray with him for the son he never raised.

In an interview with TV Line, co-star Norah Emmerich (who plays Stan Beeman) stopped in the director's chair for tonight's episode. The Truman's Show actor hints this is will be a pivotal hour for every character involved.

Emmerich reveals, "This episode actually has quite a few plot points that we've been working towards for over a season. There's some ticking bombs that have been planted in our soil, and some of them go off in this episode. [There are] really big, seismic shifts happening, really large ones that I think the audience has been anticipating for over a season now."

In one of the subplots, Martha (Alison Wright) has been trying to adopt a child with Clark (Rhys). Martha's relationship with Calrk will be strained after she confronts a shocking realization.

In an interview with the New York Post, Wright adds, "I think it's fair to say we might see that happening this season ... She's not sure what's going on, but some of her instincts say that there's a problem here ... It's going to be quite a bumpy ride over next few weeks with Martha's story. It just gets worse for her."

The British actress adds, "Her snow globe life is severely shaken tonight. [It's] the most exciting episode for me this season, if not all the seasons."
