With the premiere of Marvel's Daredevil coming up and production already begun for Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones, viewers cannot wait to binge-watch the next Netflix superhero series, Marvel's Luke Cage. Destined to become lovers in the Marvel Universe, will Mike Colter  and Krysten Ritter discover discover a "darker and grittier" hero-for-hire, Carl Lucas?

As we previously mentioned, Carl Lucas' origin story begins with him being framed for a crime he didn't commit. Wanting to get revenge for the alleged drug bust, the wrongfully accused criminal volunteers for an experimental treatment at the prison. The chemical compounds end up giving him superhuman strength and durability.

We also mentioned, Jessica Jones suffers from post-traumatic stress due to her superhero days. After giving up on her costumed lifestyle, Jones becomes the sole owner of Alias Private Investigations. During an investigation in New York City, the super-powered private investigator will encounter the enigmatic superhero. His secrets will dramatically alter Jessica in ways she could never have imagined.

In an interview with List, the Halo: Nightfall actor discusses his role, "Marvel actually gives you a special training class in how not to say too much in interviews [laughs]. We're in the middle of shooting AKA Jessica Jones and Luke Cage is a very interesting character who just happens to have super strength and unbreakable skin. He's a neighborhood hero, very much linked to New York and Jessica Jones."

The Agent X continues, "It's all part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but Luke Cage is a darker, grittier, more tangible character than Iron Man or Thor. He likes to keep things close to his chest, operate on the hush-hush. He has these abilities but he's not sure how and when to use them. He's a very nuanced character."

In the comics, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones have a child together. Will we see on the Netflix shows how their relationship grows?
