Season 3 of The Americans continues with the spy couple on their new mission on FX. With their covers under suspicion by someone unsuspecting, are Elizabeth (Keri Russell) and Philip (Matthew Rhys) Jennings ready to concede and make Martha Hanson (Alison Wright) "disappear?"

In our previous recap, Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) and his fellow FBI agents discovered a bug had been planted inside the director's pen. Realizing she put the recording device there, Martha (Wright) became a nervous wreck as she hid in the bathroom, wondering what else Clark (Rhys) has been keeping from her. While Philip and Elizabeth planned the kidnapping of their next targets, Martha pulled out a handgun from her drawer.

In our recent recap, after completing Gabriel (Frank Langella)'s orders, Elizabeth asked her handler for a favor, to bring back Philip's son, a solider, from the war. Philip even told Elizabeth that he didn't want to have any more children. When Martha confronted her husband about the interrogations going on at the FBI's office, Philip told her the truth; he's in love with her. The two were uncomfortable sitting in the same bed together.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Wright reveals what's next for her character, "So now she's thinking, if Clark has lied to her about his job, why would he lie? And of course if he lied to her about that, has he lied to her about anything else? Has she been set up? Is she gonna be in trouble - is she a patsy for something? This is truly terrifying for her - anything that she's possibly thinking of is a horrible, horrible idea. Her mind has done the math on all the possibilities, and all of them are extremely unpleasant. And now she's really been forced into action. She's gonna have to live in reality and essentially watch her life disappear."

The Blue Bloods actress adds, "Well, everything's changed now for her. I'll say that it surprised me very much the way that she goes on in the following episodes. And intrigued. It's very unpredictable."

Readers, do you think Martha is a major threat to Elizabeth and Philip?
