Most of the great bands in history have parted ways with one or more members of the group. Take for instance, the Spice Girls, who lost Geri Halliwell for a while, and Backstreet Boys, who parted ways with Kevin Richardson after a few years. Even Paramore has changed up some of its members over the years, and now it seems like One Direction is about to follow in the footsteps of these greats. It is being speculated that Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, and Liam Payne are going to have to say goodbye to Zayn Malik.

We are sure a million of tween hearts out there are breaking after hearing this news, but according to Radar Online, Malik is thinking of making a permanent exit from the band.

As it was reported earlier this week by US Weekly, Malik will be sitting out a few concert dates with the boys in order to head back to the U.K. and recuperate from stress, but now it seems that his hiatus could indeed become something more permanent.

everyone has a different emotion here haha

"A lot of people in their camp fears that this is the beginning of the end for One Direction,' an insider explained to the news site. "The higher-ups ordered Zayn to take a break because there are concerns for his well-being. Zayn's management is livid right no, but they are also very sympathetic to his situation. He is in bad shape, which is the real reason he went home to London."

The site is also reporting that while the division seems sudden that the band has slowly been drifting apart for a while, with Zayn wanting to distance himself from the others.

"Zayn has been separating himself from the guys for quite some time now, " the source explained. "He loves the guys but doesn't love everything that comes along with the band."

Could this be the end of One Direction as we know it?
