Kelly Osbourne might have always looked up to Angelina Jolie as a role model, but it seems that the ex-Fashion Police star is following in the footsteps of the famous A-lister when it comes to preventative cancer treatments. Brad Pitt's wife came out yesterday to reveal that she had surgery to have her Fallopian tubes, as well as her ovaries, removed as a way to be one step ahead of ovarian cancer, since she has the BRCA gene for it. According to Radar Online, Osbourne opened up about the issue while on her mom Sharon Osbourne's talk show The Talk.

She came out saying that she also has the gene and plans to go through the same surgeries Jolie had in order to take some pre-emptive steps to not get the disease.

"I actually do have the cancer gene," the star said on the program. "My mom made all of us go and get tested after she found out she had it and got her double mastectomy."

In addition to revealing that she has the gene, Kelly went one step further, saying she knows someday she will have to undergo the same procedures as Jolie in order to maintain her health.

"I agree with this 100 percent," the star said of Jolie's decision. "I know one day I will eventually have to do it, too. If I have children I want to be there to bring them up."

Angelina opened up in a New York Times piece, where she revealed her reasoning for undergoing surgery, saying, "A simple blood test had revealed that I carried a mutation in the BRCA1 gene. It gave me an estimated 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer. I had lost my mother, grandmother and aunt to cancer."
