After nearly taking down the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Phil Coulson's worst enemy takes over Marvel Comics' big summer event, Secret Wars. Will the Marvel Universe end up "crushed" by the Warzones in July's Hail Hydra #1, from writer Rick Remender and artist Roland Boschi.

As we previously mentioned, Secret Wars features the Marvel superheroes from alternate realities coming together to meet in an epic standoff. The Marvel's superheroes and super-villains will be forced to defend themselves for the survival of their universe. There will be no Marvel Universe, no Ultimate Universe, or any other, just Battleworld.

In the plot synopsis, the beautiful Utopia that Hydra created has been tarnished. Someone from outside the regime has appeared out of the blue. Sullying it's beautiful landscape is Ian Rogers, the son of Captain America, and the man called Nomad. Could Captain America's presence be enough to bring this perfect society to utter ruin? Can one man survive the onslaught of an entire country dominated by Hydra agents, such as Eddie Brock (aka Venom)?

In an interview with Comic Book, Remender describes what happens when there's no S.H.I.E.L.D. around, "S.H.I.E.L.D. was never formed and Hydra has been pretty good about crushing any resistance. It's a very fascist state and it's been a fascist state for hundreds of years now. There have been rebellions."

The AXIS scribe also reveals Brock's role in the story, "The one that I'm most excited about right now is Eddie Brock as Hydra Venom. He's all white with the green Hydra on his chest. The symbiote took to the Hydra symbolism the same way that it picked up on the spider symbolism when it bonded with Peter. So now, you've got Eddie Brock stomping around with the Hydra symbiote and there's a lot of fun stuff to do with that. I don't want to give too much of it away, but obviously there's a fun version of the Hydra/Avengers that I'll play with."

As we previously mentioned, the X-Men and Magneto take on the world's most powerful mutant in Age of Apocalypse #1, Peter Parker has a wife and kid in Amazing Spider-Man:Renew Your Vows #1, and the Avengers are no more in A-Force #1.

Hail Hydra #1 will arrive in stores sometime in July 2015.

Readers, are you excited to see Venom as a Hydra agent?
