It's offical, Paula Patton and Robin Thicke's divorce that is. In a new interview, Patton, 39, opened up for the first time after the media learned that the two finalized their divorce.

In a new chat with Meredith Vieira, Paula revealed that she's doing just fine, and claims that she has grown up as well.

"You know I'm doing really well. It's been a long year and a lot of challenges but I've grown quite a bit and just getting used to change," the actress, said during an appearance on The Meredith Vieira Show, scheduled to air this week.

MStars News previously reported that the pair split back in February 2014 after being married for nine years. Patton decided to finally file for divorce in October 2014.

Patton shares a son, 4-year-old son, Julian, with the singer. When talking about her son, and life as it is now Patton says:

"Absolutely it is and embrace it and just be thankful for everything I do have," the Idlewild actress said, as she revealed the most difficult part is "accepting the new reality."

"I live in a place of gratitude and growing up in many ways I think, I moved from my parents' house to moving in with Robin," Patton revealed, adding, "And now I'm like becoming an adult at this old age. I'm really like a real woman now."

The former lovers were married in 2005 and Paula says that she took a lot of time off to focus on her son. "I took a lot of time off to be with him, and then I had to pack for a trip, because I had to go to work and he said, 'Mommy I don't want you to go to work."' Patton continued, "It's the challenge of being a working mother. It was the first time that he has ever said that to me, now he's kind of more aware of everything."
