Well, it's happened, folks. Jon Stewart has announced his final Daily Show episode, which means that things just got real. As much as we hate to admit it, the political satirist will soon be leaving his Comedy Central seat, the one he's held for the past 17 years, and give it up to young stand up comedian Trevor Noah. Hopefully, of course, he'll just give Noah a new chair, because otherwise that's pretty rank. Anyway, whether you're excited or not about Noah coming onboard – c'mon, give him a chance! – rest easy for now because we've still got a little over three months left with Stewart.

But be warned – the end is near.

"My last Daily Show program," Stewart said while ending last night's episode, "will be August the 6th."

He then assured us all that he'll be wearing a suit and will have showered that day. Which apparently the audience wasn't too fond of because he immediate switched his thoughts to, "Alright, I'll be wearing overalls and I won't shower!"

And that seemed to win them over.

The comedian then gave fans the chance of a lifetime, the opportunity to win tickets to the last Jon Stewart-led Daily Show taping.

More information on the contest can be found at www.omaze.com/dailyshow.

And yes, you'll probably be able to take a selfie with Stewart.

Check out his announcement here:

Oh, and you can hug Stewart. Which doesn't suck, right? But be sure to let go. You know, because we all have to let go. Whomp, whomp, whomp...

All the money donated in the contest will go to benefit Stewart's Night of Too Many Stars which benefits Autism Awareness.
