Howard Stern has had a longstanding feud with former, and some might say "fired," Tonight Show host Jay Leno. And during his appearance on last night's Late Show with David Letterman – which is winding down and will end next Wednesday, May 20 – Stern took yet another slam at the famed comic for (supposedly) declining Letterman's invite to appear as one of his final guests.

The below clip from Stern's appearance kicks off with the two discussing the iconic disc jockey's first spot back in the '80s, specifically how it did nothing for Stern's career. Of course, Letterman couldn't help but make fun of Howard's look from back in the day:

"Look everybody, it's the president of the math club!"

Afterwards, Stern jumped into, "Are you thinking about having Jay Leno on next week for your last guest? Are you out of your mind?"

Now, it's unclear whether or not Leno has declined the offer – producers wouldn't come out and say it – but it seems that since Letterman said no to Leno asking him to come on The Tonight Show before he left, Leno might do the same.

But that doesn't matter to Stern, "Jay said no, that creep!"

"Jay asked me to be on when he was finishing his show," said Letterman, "and I said, 'That's a lovely offer but I think it should be really more about just Jay on his final week of shows,' so I declined. And I think he may feel the same way about this situation."

And then he nailed the America's Got Talent judge with, "And that's when we called you."

Tune in to Late Show with David Letterman weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS ... until May 20. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert kicks off this coming Sept. 8.
