David Letterman gave CBS his two weeks notice earlier this week. And to celebrate his last days of employment (for good!), Letterman and his Late Show crew are making it clear that they're undoubtedly planning on going out with a bang. How do we know? Well, because this week's series of shows has been littered with funny from beginning to end – or, beginning to Thursday. Therefore, we at MStars News decided to count down the Top 10 Moments from this week's set of Late Show episodes (so far).

Yes, we know it's only Thursday, but we had no problem filling out our list from Monday-Wednesday's shows.

10. Legends on Letterman
With Mumford and Sons kicking off an amazing performance, Legends on Letterman delivers an amazing chance for audience members to see some of their favorite bands paying tribute to the famed Late Show host with their own music. Dave Matthews Band will be the next Legends on Letterman performers. Their set airs tonight, May 7, at 9 p.m. on CBS.

9. Ray Romano's David Letterman: A Life on Television Primetime Special
Letterman famously gave Ray Romano his first television appearance. He also famously gave him a holding deal for his own scripted series, which (also famously) turned into Everybody Loves Raymond. Because of this, it seemed there was no better person to tribute the comedian more so than Romano.

8. Norah Jones' Performance
Thirteen years ago, Norah Jones debuted on the Late Show playing the song "Don't Know Why." And this week, she came back to sing that song yet again. Check out the performance below:

7. Martin Short's Funeral Song
Believe it or not, Letterman isn't dying ... but apparently no one told Martin Short, or they did and Short just didn't feel like changing the words. The famed comedic actor stopped by this week to sing Letterman's funeral song. Watch it below:

6. President Obama's Final Appearance
This past Monday night, the President made his final appearance on Letterman and tried to figure out what he and the host could do after they retire from their current positions. Apparently dominos was thrown out... and probably immediately tossed out.

5. Mumford and Sons' Performance
The band stopped by the Ed Sullivan Theater for not only the Legends on Letterman set but also for a televised version of their single "Believe." The track is off the newest album Wilder Mind, which dropped earlier this week – perhaps another reason they made our Top 10 list.

4. Cher
Cher famously called Letterman an a**hole during her first Late Show appearance. And she did so yet again last night...

3. Dave Matthews Band
Okay, the DMB will stop by the Late Show tomorrow, Friday, May 8, but we're going to go ahead and say it's probably one of the top moments of the week.

2. Will Ferrell's Harry Caray Impersonation
Will Ferrell was able to dust off his Harry Caray impression and interrupt Letterman's monologue a couple of nights ago. And of course, no one seemed to mind.

And the No. 1 moment from this week's Late Show with David Letterman episodes...

1. Showing Old Footage
Letterman has been showing footage from his past years behind the Late Show desk, specifically old remotes. Let's check out a couple:
