It seems ridiculous to say that yoga is good for the body, because you should already know that. Of course, we decided to mention it anyway. But there's a new study that argues the peaceful practice is also good for the brain, specifically in easing chronic pain. Now, we not so sure what chronic pain Don Draper had during last night's Mad Men series finale, but it obviously worked for him – as did meditation. Hell, he went on to create a groundbreaking Coca Cola ad (at least, we think). Anyway, yoga has been a longtime favorite amongst those in the show business... um, business. And perhaps now we're starting to understand that these celebrity yogis are right.

So, not flexible enough? Try some yoga. Got some pain? Try some yoga!

According to a new report from Good magazine, at this year's American Pain Society annual meeting, a doctor discussed the idea of a link between yoga and "the amount of grey matter to be found in a person's brain." Dr. Catherine Bushnell, who introduced the theory, described the phenomena that chronic pain is linked to depression. She further notes, "Practicing yoga has the opposite effect on the brain."

Furthermore, the doctor said, "Some grey matter increases in yogis correspond to duration of yoga practice, which suggests there is a causative link between yoga and grey matter increases."

Which the publication put as, "More yoga. More grey matter. Less pain."

So what do you think folks: are the below celebs on to something?
