The season finale ofThe Flash aired on the CW network. In the upcoming Season 2 of The Flash, will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), and Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) discover what was originally supposed to happen in their lives in Earth-One?

In our finale recap, Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) revealed to Barry that when he time-traveled to the past, he lost his Speed Force. To get back to his own timeline, Eobard forced events to happen, such as Barry getting struck by lightning and Cisco's metahuman powers. In effect, Eobard had created a brand new timeline; they are all living in Earth-Two.

In the DC Comics Universe, there are two alternate-reality Earths. In Flash of Two Worlds, Barry, the scarlet speedster from Earth-One meets Jay Garrick, aka The Flash, his Earth-Two counterpart. Jay Garrick's helmet showed up in the finale, when it was thrown out of the wormhole. Knowing it was his cue to leave, Eobard Thawne turned out be afraid of Garrick and didn't want to stick around to confront him.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teases we could see the original timeline, "Never say never, especially on a show about time travel."

As we previously mentioned, Twitter had lots to say as Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) shot himself, in order to stop the Reverse-Flash; erasing his future ancestor from existence. The rift in the time-stream caused a black hole to suddenly appear. Putting the mask back on, The Flash raced at full speed to repair the damage.

On her official Instagram account, Candice Patton (Iris West) shares this snapshot of her co-star and writes, "My hero! Love you Rick. Thanks for being my friend. Being a shoulder to laugh, cry and lean on."
