One Direction 2015 Break-Up Rumors: Niall Horan Replacing 'X-Factor' Judge Louis Walsh?

Ever since Zayn Malik quit One Direction earlier this year, break-up rumors have been spreading, which could be fueled by recent Niall Horan speculation. After The X Factor UK judge Louis Walsh decides to leave the reality competition program, he thinks Horan could be his possible replacement. As of late, Tomlinson was the rumored front-runner for this position, which isn't even open yet. Rumors claimed he'd take over for Walsh after One Direction breaks up and the other members take on solo careers. So, if Tomlinson doesn't start his own solo career, The X Factor could be his home, right? Well, apparently not. Walsh allegedly wants Niall to replace him, which is also suggesting that Horan wouldn't take on a solo career (via Unreality TV).

Does this mean we're only expecting Harry Styles and Liam Payne solo careers? That seems kind of mean to cut out the other two talented singers, gossip websites!

The Inquistr points out speculation around Niall wanting to follow in Zayn's footsteps and quit the boy band, claiming he's also tired of the pressures of fame. Either way, would he really jump to a TV show gig to get away from the fame?

Whatever you believe, plenty of gamblers out there have been placing bets on this rumor-so much so that a big online bookie, Boylesports had to suspend betting on the subject once rumors started to erupt.

"Our shop staff had literally only opened the doors at 9am on Tuesday morning and a punter placed the hefty novelty bet on Niall to become an X Factor judge," Spokesperson Liam Glynn said, according to The Irish Mirror. "With One Direction in turmoil at the moment and following on from a hefty bet on Niall Horan to leave the band we have had no choice but to suspend all our One Direction and X Factor judge markets as one way or another, Niall's time in the band may well be coming to an end."
