Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have been trying for a year to have another child. So far, the two have been unsuccessful. There have been so many attempts that Kardashian joked that she and West are having sex up to "500 times a day." Despite all their attempts, the couple is now looking into surrogacy to have a second child. Their plan is to give North West a baby brother or sister that is close in age. This way her child can grow up with siblings the way she grew up.

Their attempts at trying hard to have another child became one of the storylines in Kim's reality TV show. In one episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim admitted she had sex with West during a photo shoot:

"I was like, 'I'm ovulating today!' So I made him come to my photo shoot," she said on the show. "You know what, I don't feel bad about that for one second. You gotta get it in where you can get it in."

The idea of surrogacy was recommended to her, but before going through with that the couple would like to explore several other options. On a recent episode, Kim underwent a procedure to clear something out of her uterus and in the next she revealed an embryo didn't take. Kardashian tried going through with In Vitro fertilization but that didn't work well with her body.

Kim hinted at the surrogacy idea during an interview with Matt Lauer on the Today Show. During the interview, she said she's still holding out hope and that she and West will keep trying.

"I would like to hold out a little bit longer, and still try," she told Lauer. "I still have hope, so I'm just going to keep on trying. Never say never. I mean, we haven't talked about adopting."
