The question remains if Community will return for Season 7. After six seasons, will creator Dan Harmon get Joel McHale (Jeff Winger), Ken Jeong (Ben Chang), and Danny Pudi (Abed Nadir) to finish what they promised and fulfill their agreement with a movie deal on Yahoo!?

As we previously mentioned, comedy series found a home at Yahoo Screens after being cancelled over at NBC. The first season introduced a suspended lawyer, Jeff Winger (McHale), who was forced to enroll in a community college. Along the way, he found support from an eclectic staff and student body.

During the ATX festival, as transcribed by Entertainment Weekly, Harmon is quoted as saying, "I told Yahoo, 'I can't think about writing a movie until I miss Community. They wanted to turn around and do a movie immediately, and Yahoo can get it done. They're like the NSA."

The Acceptable scribe adds, "the difficulty is in just: Can you get all the actors in the same place again?"

According to TV Line, a movie actually seems far more likely than a seventh season. Most of the cast is already committed to new shows. Gillian Jacobs has signed on for Netflix's Love. Ken Jeong has his own show on ABC entitled, Dr. Ken. Paget Brewster will appear on the Fox series, Grandfathered.

As we previously mentioned, Joe McHale has signed for a guest starring stint on The X-Files revival. McHale will play Tad O'Malley, the anchor of a popular conservative Internet news network. During the course of the episode, O'Malley suddenly becomes an unlikely ally for Fox Mulder (David Duchovny). McHale will also be the host of the 2015 ESPYS this July.

Jacobs tells TV Line, "In previous years, I've always been in denial, like, 'No, we're coming back!' [But] this year, our contracts are up. The future is very uncertain. And, for once, it's not because of network disdain or lack of interest. We've just done it for six years and there's a very different feeling."

No word yet on whether Community will return in some form.
