The first season finale of the Batman prequel, Gotham, aired on Fox. In the upcoming Season 2 of Gotham, will Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) have to stop a new and deadly rival, Theo Galavan (James Frain) and his Tigress?

In our finale recap, after a botched hit, Gordon came to the rescue of Carmine Falcone just when Penguin was about to slit his throat. Trouble mounted for the detective as Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) returned with a vengeance and shot Sal Maroni (David Zayas) in the head. Elsewhere, Barbara confessed to Leslie that she murdered her parents and almost tried to kill her.

In the closing minutes, Falcone gave up his life of crime after Jim helped him reach a safe house. The Penguin took his revenge on Fish, grabbed her, and threw her off the roof; officially making him the number one mob boss. Bruce discovered his father was actually hiding the Batcave.

According to Deadline, the True Blood actor will pay one of the two new regular roles. Frainwill play billionaire industrialist Theo Galavan, a new Gotham arrival,

Galavan is the savior the corrupt city has been waiting for. The Gotham baddie is described as sexy, heroic, and lovingly devoted to his sister Tabitha. But behind Galavan's altruism is a centuries-old vendetta.

Galavan joins Tabitha (aka Tigress) as they take chaos and violence to a new level. As they attempt to bleed Gotham, their plan will lead to the creation of new villains and the destruction of others. Could Penguin's reign as crime lord be brough to an end before it can even begin?

TV Line states the show will return to its regular Monday time slot at 8pm, starting September 21. The site also reports Jessica Lucas has landed the season 2 role of Tigress. In the Batman comics, Lucas wears tiger-striped sweaters as she runs gangs of thieves and murderers.

As we previously mentioned, the cast and crew of Gotham are heading over to 2015 San Diego Comic-Con for Super Hero Saturday Night on July 11.

Readers, are you excited to see these new baddies on Gotham?
