Jackie Chan, John Cusack, Adrien Brody Star in 'Dragon Blade' [Watch Trailer]

Jackie Chan's new film Dragon Blade brings us another strikingly different view of ancient Rome. Starring alongside of are John Cusack and Adrien Brody. Check out our report on the 2015 movie's release date and watch a trailer below!

IMDB reports, "Dragon Blade brings action spectacle on a grand scale to U.S. audiences. Featuring an international cast led by Jackie Chan, John Cusack and Academy Award® winner Adrien Brody, the film features the fight for the Silk Road when East and West collide. When corrupt Roman leader Tiberius (Brody) arrives with a giant army to claim the Silk Road, Huo An (Chan) and his group of trained warriors teams up with an elite legion of defected Roman soldiers led by General Lucius (Cusack) to maintain the delicate balance of power in the region."

By the looks of the film's trailer, it's action-packed and tension-filled. There seems to be something constantly going on and from a writing standpoint, conflict after conflict. The film grossed over $120 million in China after having a budget of $65 million. Now it has recently had its first trailer released in the U.S.

According to Movie Talk Express, the film is being referred to as a historical war epic and is a blend of "martial arts, swords and sandals." Although John Cusack looks a bit out of place, Jackie Chan doesn't disappoint and plays his usual role where he kicks a--! The film is directed and written by Daniel Lee (Black Mask) and produced by Jackie Chan and Susan Tsang. We are particularly excited to see more of those Jackie Chan martial arts stunts and combat sequences!

The film is set to release on September 4, 2015 both in theaters and on Video On Demand. Check out the trailer here:
