DMX is behind bars again, and this time he is supposed to serve 6 months in jail. According to People, the rapper has been jailed for unpaid child support. DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested in New York City back in June right before he was scheduled to perform at Radio City Music Hall.

Earlier this week, DMX was sentenced to six months in jail for "violation of certain court orders or conditions of bond in a family violence case," according to the report. The rapper's troubles included not paying a total of $400,000 in child support. Simmons is currently staying at the Erie County Holding Center in Buffalo, New York.

DMX has a history of run-ins with the law and has been arrested previously on other charges. MStars News previously reported that DMX was accused by a New Jersey man of stealing around $3,200 back in April.

Newark police spokesman, Sgt. Ronald Glover, revealed at that time that the incident happened during a conversation. "The two had a brief conversation about rap music and during the conversation a male in DMX's entourage, showed the victim a gun and demanded the victim's money."

Prior to that bit of legal trouble, in 2004, DMX was arrested after he allegedly tried to steal a car at New York's Kennedy Airport and he was fined for several traffic violations when caught.

In June, the rapper tweeted some words that seem to be needed during this troubled time in his life. He wrote, "God is the only one who can have a bad situation become a beautiful situation without ever changing the situation."

Time will tell if he turns to his faith for guidance once again. Hip Hollywood noted that the rapper was supposed to be a part of the Shaggfest 2015 in Virginia Beach on July 25 but singer Shaggy tweeted that his scheduled performance would no longer be a part of the line up, as well as confirming DMX's 6 month lockup.
