Getting rid of stress isn't the easiest thing to do, but it's definitely worthy of trying. It's being reported that stress and anxiety are two of the biggest health risks around. Therefore, it's best we try and break the habits that are causing stress, and thus lead ourselves to a happier life.

Which, we can all probably agree, sounds like a much better thing than stressing all the time, no?

Therefore, let's take a look at some of the best things we can stop doing in order to be happier, live happier, and just make that stress disappear.

LIVING OUT OF THE MOMENT
It's easy to say, but hard to do. Living in the moment can make you not only appreciate what you have but it can also give you some time away from your stresses. By doing this, you'll notice that whatever stress was there before is probably less important to you since you're going into it later with a clear and peaceful mindset.

NOT ADMITTING WHEN YOU'RE WRONG
Being afraid to admit when we've made a mistake keeps us from being open and honest about ourselves. While many people see vulnerability as a sign of weakness, the ability to own up to what you're feeling self-conscious about is actually a true sign of confidence. Moreover, being open about a mistake you've made will help you gain respect from others in your life.

FOCUS ON FAILURE
We all fail, folks. No one is perfect––except maybe Channing Tatum. But seriously, if you focus on all the failure you've had in your life, you're setting yourself up for unhappiness. And let's be honest, being happy is much more fun than being sad.

NOT BEING YOURSELF
In the end, you are you. Trying to be somebody else will not work. Be happy with who you are – your faults, your successes, everything. As we said before, nobody is perfect. And guess what? That's a good thing.

BEING UNGRATEFUL
We must start practicing gratitude. Write down what you're grateful for. Try writing down three things a day in your "Gratitude Journal" and see how you feel in one week. Our guess is you'll already start to feel a slight difference in your life.
