Jennifer Lawrence hasn't flat-out refused to go on to do anymore of the X-Men movies, but it may be that the Hunger Games star could be teasing us by giving off mixed signals. After previously revealing that X-Men: Apocalypse would be released as her final appearance as Mystique, Lawrence has seemingly changed her might and explained that she's open for more movies as the shape-shifting mutant. Should we consider this new statement as another spoiler for the upcoming Bryan Singer movie?

Back in May when Entertainment Weekly visited the set of this upcoming 2016 blockbuster, she explained that she loves doing the films but that the paint was toxic and that the "fumes and toxins. Now I'm almost 25 and I'm like, 'I can't even pronounce this and that's going in my nose? I'm breathing that?'" She has been doing the movies since she was 20 and had voiced a couple of times that the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse would be her last. However, there isn't anything stopping her at the moment. She just can't quite confirm that this is indeed her last one even though there is speculation that this film would complete the next trilogy of the X-Men films. "There is hope. I don't want to be asked. I just wanna finish this movie and then figure out the next one. But I do think about the next chapters of these stories. My hope is we can bring these guys back. And if we didn't then I would adjust."

Lawrence then made a bit of an announcement at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con and said, "I don't feel like it's happened yet. It's still such a big part of my life. These movies really did change my life. The people who are in my life... you guys challenged me. I love you. I think that the changes that happened in my life are so permanent that I don't think I'll ever really say goodbye to her. She feels like she's part of me," reported the Inquisitr. It all seems very up in the air or they just want to keep us guessing.

The Marvel franchise does plan on moving ahead past Apocalypse to more X-Men movies and many X-Men fans know that Lawrence isn't the first to play the role of Mystique in the franchise. Rebecca Romijn had taken on the role in first trilogy of the films. Will Marvel be recasting after this trilogy too?

We will just have to wait anxiously and see after the release of X-Men: Apocalypse in May 27th 2016. Check out the the last time Lawrence was Mystique in Days of Future Past's trailer:
