The first season finale of the Batman prequel, Gotham, aired on Fox. Before Season 2 of Gotham gets underway, will Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), and Bruce Wayne (David Marzouz) find a new ally or a deadlier with new cast member, Natalie Alyn Lind?

In our finale recap, after a botched hit, Gordon (McKenzie) came to the rescue of Carmine Falcone just when Penguin was about to slit his throat. Trouble mounted for the detective as Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) returned with a vengeance and shot Sal Maroni (David Zayas) in the head. Elsewhere, Barbara confessed to Leslie that she murdered her parents and almost tried to kill her.

In the closing minutes, Falcone gave up his life of crime after Jim helped him reach a safe house. The Penguin (Taylor) took his revenge on Fish, grabbed her, and threw her off the roof; officially making him the number one mob boss. Bruce (Mazouz) discovered his father was actually hiding the Batcave.

According to Entertainment Weekly, young Bruce Wayne (Marzouz) will be getting a new love interest, besides Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova). Lind joins the cast as Silver St. Cloud, a Gotham debutante who lost her parents at a young age. The Goldbergs star will end up drawn to the Dark Knight in training.

During the course of her arc, Silver will introduce Bruce to her uncle Theo Galavan, a billionaire philanthropist who intends on running for Mayor. Bruce will find a father figure in Theo, but for Silver, she is described as "having a heart beating with dark intent."

In the comics, Selina is jealous of the relationship between Silver and Bruce. When the twosome call of their relationship in Strange Apparitions, Batman takes out his heartbreak on a bunch of criminals. She was last seen in The Widening Gyre, as her throat was almost slit by vigilante Baphomet.

As we previously mentioned, during San Diego Comic-Con, executive producer Danny Cannon explains that Season 2 will explore "what Gotham can give birth to when people start to feel power within themselves and don't feel the urge to answer to morality."
