USA's 'Mr. Robot' Episode 5 Spoilers: Will Christian Slater, Rami Malek Watch Elliot "Fail?"

The highly anticipated hacker drama, Mr. Robot, continues on USA Network. During tonight's Episode 5, as Angela (Portia Doubleday) slips into her own dark side, will Elliot (Rami Malek) and anarchist Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) "succeed or fail" as they attack Steel Mountain?

In our previous recap, after Evil Corp's SVP of Technology Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallström) discovered he was pushed over for promotion, he started stalking his his replacement. In order to save her boyfriend, Angela realizes she will have to commit a crime against her cyber security firm. Though he wanted to live a happy life, Elliot returned to FSociety after discovering Evil Corp is responsible for his father's death.

In our recent recap, Elliot has plans to hit Steel Mountain, the one of the database centers for Evil Corp. Unfortunately, just as the plan came into fruition, Elliot suffered from withdrawal symptoms as he struggled to stay clean from his own drug usage. Realizing she needs to take care of herself, Angela incriminated her boyfriend as she hacked into her own cyber security firm, All Safe.

In an interview with USA Today, creator/showrunner Sam Esmail explains the themes behind data being breached, "All the information that is online today translates to a tremendous amount of power and leverage that can be used against you. With any system, once there is a reliance on it, then that becomes your biggest vulnerability."

Esmail continues, "Given how much personal information we put online (through social networks, online shopping and other apps), it's amazing people aren't giving it all a second thought when you hear about these hacks and glitches."

As we previously mentioned, at the recent San Diego Comic-Con, the main actors revealed that filming for the first season of Mr. Robot has just wrapped. We're anxious to see what Esmail has planned for the rest of 10 episode arc and the recently renewed Season 2.
