USA's 'Mr. Robot' Recap: Episode 5: Christian Slater, Rami Malek's "Eps1.4_3xpl0its.wmv!"

The highly anticipated hacker drama, Mr. Robot. continues on USA Network. In Episode 5, Eps1.4_3xpl0its.wmv, will Elliot (Rami Malek) be able to keep his secret safe from Angela Moss (Portia Doubleday) as he joins anarchist Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) against Steel Mountain?

Fernando, Darlene (Carly Chaikin)'s ex, is told by his lawyer he's going to be in prison for murder one. To get square with the universe, Fernando knows he has to hurt somebody. In his prison cell, Fernando thinks he knows who snitched.

Mr. Robot, Elliot, and the crew are at a coffee shop, where they sell a pass and copy it. They plan on attack Steel Mountain, a data facility run by Evil Corp. They need to get a level 2 clearance in order to get past security. 

Because the crew faked his identity, Elliot granted a tour of the data facility. Angela is packing her bags as she moves from Ollie (Ben Rappaport). He realizes Angela incriminated him in the hack of AllSafe. 

As Mr. Robot talks into his earpiece, Elliot remembers a brutal childhood memory with his mother. Elliot then gets the nerve to destroy the tour guide, making him feel small, Unfortunately the plan backfires as the wrong person arrives to meet with Elliot. 

After getting rid of his tour guides, Elliot realizes he's in the wrong side of the building and stumbles upon  Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallström). Shayla (Frances Shaw) is at her new job as a waitress. After watching Steel Mountain's commercial, Tyrell continues the tour with Elliot and invites him to lunch. 

Mr. Robot realizes Elliot should exploit Tyrell through his  arrogance. Unfortunately, as they head off into the executive lounge, Mr. Robot loses his signal with Elliot. After security comes by with the check, Elliot excuses himself to the bathroom and pukes up again. 

After fixing up the wiring, Tyrell reveals to Elliot that he knows about the fame-up of his boss. The death of Elliot's father is public record. Tyrell knows Elliot's weakness is revenge. 

As Darlene (Carly Chaikin) gets involved, Angela visits her father, telling him about her break-up. Angela's father isn't surprised about the cheating, he's a douchebag. After offering her money, he starts cooking her meal.

Elsewhere, Tyrell is in the limousine with his wife. Darlene discovers the Steel Mountain plan has failed because another hacking group pulled out. All the work Elliot and Mr. Robot did was for nothing.

At a dinner party, Tyrell meets with the man who stole the promotion from him. Tyrell offers himself as a right-hand man. While Shayla tells Elliot about her new job, Tyrell then makes sexual advances towards the man's wife.

Mr. Robot returns to the hideout only to hear about problems. After Darlene threatens to execute the code, Mr. Robot doesn't want to hurt Evil Corp; he wants to kill them. Darlene cries, realizing she screwed up.

While Angela unpacks, she discovers her father also owes money. Darlene cries on Elliot's shoulder on the train ride. 

Elliot returns to his apartment and finds Shayla's cell on the floor; Fernando is on the other line. While making her run, Angela doesn't know which path o take.
