Though HBO announced the cancellation Season 3 for Looking, fans shouldn't fret because there will a finale special. Questions about Patrick (Jonathan Groff), Kevin (Russell Tovey)'s problems, Dom (Murray Bartlett)'s business, and Agustín (Frankie J. Alvarez) will be answered in the 2016 premiere date.

As we previously mentioned, HBO released the statement, "After two years of following Patrick and his tight-knit group of friends as they explored San Francisco in search of love and lasting relationships, HBO will present the final chapter of their journey as a special. We look forward to sharing this adventure with the shows loyal fans."

In the season finale, Agustín (Alvarez) and Eddie (Daniel Franzese) officially became a couple, Dom broke up with Doris (Lauren Weedman). Knowing she was in love with her significant other, Dom wanted Doris to focus all her attention to Malik (Bashir Salahuddin). Just as they settled into their new apartment, Patrick (Groff) doubted Kevin (Tovey) could stay faithful since he was still fooling around at massage parlors.

The closing minutes presented viewers a very happy Agustín and a confident Dom gazing at his business. Wanting a new look, Patrick went to Richie (Raúl Castillo) to shave his head. Did Patrick breakup with Kevin? Or is he thinking about getting back at Kevin by cheating on him with Richie?

According to TV Line, during the Television Critics Association summer press tour, HBO president Michael Lombardo stated the two-hour wrap-up movie will begin production this fall ahead of an early 2016 premiere date.

Lombardo reveals his thoughts on the cancellation, ""I thought the show, creatively, was really doing something that I hadn't seen on any other show, particularly dealing with gay lives. As a gay man, in particular, I was very proud that there was a show that felt like it was dealing very honestly and openly with gay men and their lives, without putting them into a comedic mode."

Lombardo adds, "There were some fans that really wanted to find a finale with the storylines, is slated to begin production this fall ahead of an early 2016 premiere date. There were some fans that really wanted to find a finale with the storylines."

Don't forget to check out out interview with actor Frankie J. Alvarez, who discussed Agustín's arc in the second season.
