Perhaps one of the biggest video gaming franchises has to be the Lara Croft series. A recent reboot gave the character a great new origin story, but we didn't really see any of the "raiding" that was so attractive about the first games. Well, in the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider video game, we'll get plenty more of Lara exploring mixed in with plenty of action. Thanks to a new demo that premiered at the 2015 Gamescom events this week, we're able to show you six minutes of in-game footage of the new title, which has a 2015 release date. This new Microsoft exclusive title (though we know it'll get PC and PlayStation releases soon after its initial release) is clearly one of the most anticipated games of the year, but what new features can we expect from the follow-up? So far, we've seen some teasers and sparse gameplay, but now this new demo shows us a ton of action and so much more!

As you can see in the embedded video below, this 6-minute demo is full of sneaking, shooting and killing, which is something fans of the 2013 reboot are sure to enjoy. There's a feel of the previous game but also The Last of Us and of course Uncharted, both of which have been widely successful over the years.

A recent review of the Gamescom demo over on IGN details other features of the game, specifically the actual tomb raiding element. Apparently, Lara can learn different languages as part of this gameplay mode, which is certainly an interesting take on the character.
