The August 12, 2015 episode of WWE's NXT continued to build to NXT Takeover: Brooklyn with a No. 1 Contender's match between Bayley and Becky Lynch in the main event. Check out the results of this week's events below!

The show begins with General Manager William Regal, who says he did not want to make the NXT Championship match between Finn Balor and Kevin Owens a ladder match, but he spoke with Balor and agreed to grant Owens' request.

Tye Dillinger defeats Solomon Crowe with his quasi-Code Breaker.

Baron Corbin locks up Axel Dixon in a collar and elbow tie-up, tosses him into the corner, clotheslines him, and hits End of Days for the win.

Corbin cuts a promo after the match and says he does the same thing week after week. He squashes man after man and no one gets up from the End of Days. Steve Cutler then hits the ring and tries to attack but Corbin drops him with End of Days, too. Corbin picks up the microphone again, but Samoa Joe comes out to interrupt him. Joe says he is impressed but Corbin couldn't do that to him. Corbin responds that he just fought two men, so they can have this fight, but not right now. Before Joe can speak, Corbin sucker punches him. He whips him into the ropes for End of Days, but Joe reverses it into the Coquina Clutch.

Finn Balor defeats Marcus Louis with the Coup de Grace. Kevin Owens attacks the NXT Champion on the ramp after the match. He tries for the Apron Powerbomb but Balor holds the top rope to block it. He tags Owens with a front drop kick on the floor that sends his foe through the barricade. Balor tosses Owens back into the ring but KO plants him with a Pop-Up Powerbomb. Owens poses over the champion to end the segment.

The Vaudevillains talk backstage about their second chance at the NXT Tag Team Champions Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy. Simon Gotch says they have a plan to neutralize Alexa Bliss, who promptly interrupts them and slaps them both in the face.

NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks comes out to do commentary for the main event of Bayley vs. Becky Lynch in a No. 1 Contender's match. The two women have a lengthy match and so some really solid work. Bex locks in the Disarmer, but Bayley gets to the ropes to break it up. She tries again, but Bayley counters into a roll up for the win. Bayley will face Sasha Banks at Takeover: Brooklyn.

In case you missed it, here are the results of last week's episode.

The episode begins with the much-anticipated match between Charlotte and Bayley. The Hugster finally vanquishes her longtime rival when Charlotte tries for Natural Selection off the top rope, and Bayley reverses it into a Bayley to Belly for the win.

Kevin Owens sits down for an interview with Michael Cole and expresses his displeasure that William Regal, a man in a position of authority, has publicly stated he wants Finn Balor to beat him at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. To prevent a "Brooklyn Screwjob," Owens wants this to be a ladder match. Cole asks Owens if he can beat Balor, and Owens walks away.

Baron Corbin squashes some local enhancement talent in mere seconds with the End of Days.

Bayley enters Regal's office and asks for an NXT Women's Championship match with Sasha Banks at Takeover: Brooklyn. The General Manager says she can have her match if she defeats Becky Lynch next week.

Tyler Breeze squashes a different local enhancement talent with the Beauty Shot. Regal comes down to the ring after the match and announces that Breeze will face Jushin "Thunder" Liger at Takeover: Brooklyn.

Finn Balor is backstage with Byron Saxton and says he and Owens used to be friends, but he cannot respect what Owens has done since he got to WWE. He says Sami Zayn warned him not to underestimate Owens, and he accepts the ladder match challenge.

Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder defeat Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson with the tag team Rough Ryder. After the match, Wilder and Dawson attack Rawley and hit their finisher on Ryder.

Samoa Joe defeats Rhyno with the Muscle Buster in the main event.
