Speaking to the press ahead of today's match, Jose Mourinho discussed facing Manchester City and the entire season as a whole.

"The season is very long. Thirty-eight matches is an eternity, a marathon which started last week and ends in around 10 months," he said, according to his team's website. "I cannot say it's crucial, it's decisive, or it's very, very important, but it is two title contenders, and three points. If you can get three and your opponent zero it is important but for sure I am not going to say the game decides anything for the winner or anything for the loser."

Meanwhile, Manuel Pellegrini shared his view on today's match against the BPL Champions.

"We are not thinking about title in our second game but about winning our points at home," City's official website quotes the manager. "We're playing against champions, against one of the team that has chances to win the title, so to try to win the three points at home is very important."
