'Modern Family' Star Ariel Winter Calls Breast Reduction Surgery "Relief"

At 15-years-old, Modern Family's Ariel Winter says her breasts grew to a size 32F. According to her, she feels like they ended up coming in overnight. During one interview, she recalled a moment where she was sat in her sister's wedding and thought her chest wasn't where she wanted it to be. "'I just wish I would grow boobs!' and then overnight I did," she said. "But then they kept growing and growing and growing and it didn't seem like they were going to stop." When Winter's wish came true, she says the pain from having large breasts was unbearable and because of this, she had to get a reduction. During an interview with Glamour magazine, she talked about her recent surgery and said getting it was a "relief."

During times of her worst pain, she talked about being unable to stand up straight. When Winter finally went to her doctor about doing it, he said her back was going to "thank" her.

"I really couldn't stand up straight for a long period of time. It started to hurt so bad that I couldn't take the pain," she told Glamour. "My neck was hurting so bad and I actually had some problems with my spine. I had been discussing my chest with doctors for many years, but when I finally said, "I'm thinking of doing this," he said, "Your back is going to thank you so much."

Winter also mentioned in the interview that she wasn't the first in her family to get it done.

"It started to hurt so bad that I couldn't take the pain," she said. "A few of my cousins have had breast reductions, so it wasn't a shock when I decided to get one. I got it for myself. I can't even really put it into words about how amazing it feels to really feel right."

Winter announced her reduction surgery on Instagram. In the post, she thanked Glamour magazine for allowing her to tell her story and the support from friends and family who stood by her side.
