The August 17, 2015 episode of WWE's Monday Night Raw emanates live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, and the show features the final meeting between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker before SummerSlam on Sunday.

The episode begins with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, who list out some of the matches at SummerSlam including Lesnar vs. Taker, John Cena vs. Seth Rollins, and more. Steph also reveals that Jon Stewart will host the four-hour event on Sunday. Finally, we learn that Cena and Rollins will have a contract signing later on, Roman Reigns will face Luke Harper later tonight, and NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks will take on WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella.

After all the announcements, Randy Orton comes out for a match. He and Cesaro defeat Sheamus and Kevin Owens when The Viper plants the Money in the Bank holder with an RKO for the pin.

Undertaker is backstage and cuts a promo in which he says the gates of Hell are open and waiting for Lesnar's soul, so the Beast Incarnate will never rest in peace.

Backstage, Seth Rollins is all smiles as he looks at the contract he and Cena will sign later. He asks Triple H and Stephanie McMahon for a statue of himself at WWE headquarters alongside the legends. Stephanie remarks he would deserve it, and Triple H tells him it's a done deal if he captures both titles on Sunday.

Dean Ambrose comes out to do commentary for Reigns vs. Harper. Bray Wyatt is also at ringside. This was a lengthy and physical contest that ended when Reigns mounted a comeback with a Superman Punch and a spear for the win. Wyatt enters the ring after the match, kneels over Harper, and yells "follow the buzzards."

Becky Lynch defeats Tamina Snuka with the armbar as their respective Divas teams stand at ringside and Team Bella watches from backstage. Paige and Charlotte celebrate with her after the match.

Rusev defeats Mark Henry with the Accolade as Lana is on commentary. After the match, Lana steps in the ring and challenges Summer Rae to fight. Lana slaps her and then wants to get a piece of Rusev. He stalks toward her, but Dolph Ziggler rushes out and saves her. Rusev tries to use Summer Rae as a meat shield, but Lana takes her out and Ziggler superkicks Rusev. He and Lana kiss in the ring.

Backstage, JoJo catches up with Ziggler and Lana, and The Show Off challenges Rusev to a match at SummerSlam.

Ryback faces The Miz with Big Show on commentary. Before the match, Miz tells Show how to be an actor. Ryback promptly crushes him with a Meathook Clothesline for the win. After the match, the Intercontinental Champion tells Show to get in the ring, but the giant just walks away.

Rollins and Cena have their contract signing. Rollins does his usual promo in which he says "JAAAAHHHN" about 15 times. Cena interrupts him and says Rollins is nothing more than a footnote in history, the answer to the trivia question "Who did John Cena beat to tie Ric Flair's record of 16 world championships?" He mentions that Triple H received a legacy from his mentor, and now Hunter is trying to pass that legacy down to Seth Rollins, but Cena will put an end to all that on Sunday.

The New Day comes out to cut a promo complaining that the odds are stacked against them on Sunday. Xavier Woods calms down and says he had a bad day. He tries to start a "New Day Rocks" chant but of course fails. The Prime Time Players and The Lucha Dragons defeat The New Day and Los Matadores when Kalisto scores the pin with a frankensteiner.

WWE officially announces Rusev vs. Dolph Ziggler for SummerSlam.

We see a video package of Stephen Amell's altercation with Stardust last week. Backstage, Stardust and Wade Barrett cut a promo on Amell and Neville. Stardust presents Barrett with a new outfit, and he refers to himself as the "Cosmic King."

Sasha Banks defeats Nikki Bella with the Bank Statement when Naomi distracts the referee after Nikki hits the Rack Attack. Renee Young interviews Team PCB backstage after the match, and they say there were two losing teams out there. They'll take care of business on Sunday with a little bit of flair.

Lilian Garcia introduces Paul Heyman, who introduces Brock Lesnar for his homecoming to Minnesota by pointing out his numerous accomplishments. Lesnar comes out to a huge ovation and a "Suplex City" chant from the crowd. Heyman literally bows before Brock and sings to him in the tune of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic."

The lights go out and the gong sounds, but Undertaker does not appear. Heyman mocks Taker and says the Deadman could get God and the devil on his side, and Lesnar would still take all three of them to Suplex City. He points out that Undertaker has never beaten Lesnar, and he never will because he is afraid of him.

Heyman continues with his usual brilliance until the lights go out and the gong sounds again. But when the lights come back on, Taker is in the ring. He low blows Lesnar, chokeslams him, and plants him with the Tombstone Piledriver. He heads out of the ring and poses on the stage as the show goes off the air.
