Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Schumer Screenplay to Follow 'Hunger Games', 'Trainwreck' Releases

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer have come together to work on a screeplay, where they will star as sisters on-screen. The Hunger Games and Trainwreck actresses blossomed a friendship earlier this year, leading them to take a joint vacation during this Summer season.

Lawrence recently spoke on their new collaboration in an interview with the New York Times, where she revealed the progress of their work. “We’re almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We’ve got about 100 pages right now,” she told the outlet. She continued, “I emailed her after I saw Trainwreck and said, ‘I don’t know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you,’ We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting.”

While the two have starred in completely opposite movie genres, with Lawrence being in Oscar-nominated films and dramas and Schumer's comedy career blowing up, the two actually have a lot in common as far as their personalities. The country, and most of the world, has fallen in love with Lawrence through her red carpet antics and hilarious hijinks at award shows over the past few years.

“Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up,” Lawrence explains of their new friendship. “I’m flying out tomorrow to see her in Chicago,” continues the actress. “We’ll write a little bit with her sister, Kim, who worked with Amy when she was writing Trainwreck,” she continues.

It turns out that Lawrence didn’t warn Schumer that she was revealing their screenplay collaboration to the media, but it looks like the cat is out of the bag. We already know that fans are going to be demanding all the details behind this film, so it will be exciting to see it come into fruition.
