Chelsea FC is ready to break records to sign 22-year-old Paul Pogba from Juventus, even though the club is trying to hold onto the star. But considering the amount the Premier League team is bidding on a number of their hopeful transfers, Juventus are thinking of a backup in case they lose Pogba. New rumors suggest the Serie A team is looking at Zenit St Petersburg's Axel Witsel as his replacement. So Pogba could replace Chelsea's John Obi Mikel, who is allegedly headed to Turkish club Besiktas, and Witsel could play for the top Italian team. We understand that all of those names might be confusing, but the focus of the international football world is on Pogba. Signing to Chelsea could round out manager Jose Mourniho's powerhouse of a team, especially if he lands Everton's John Stones.

Plus, Pogba would fill the rumored gap that Mikel would leave, since he's rumored to be headed to Turkey soon in order to get more playing time, according to Team Talk.

Despite trying to fight the transfer, Juventus is prepared for bad news by looking at Wisel, but the team is also looking at Chelsea's roster for trade and loan options, according to The Daily Mail. Could Ramires, Willian and/or Oscar end up in Italy for Pogba?

Coach Mourinho recently spoke about his current transfer target, praising the young athlete and adding fuel to the rumors fire.

"Pogba is not to put pressure on people," he said, according to The Mirror. "Pogba is one of the top players in the world. Pogba goes to any team and improves that team automatically. If he stays at Juventus, Juventus will be very strong again. If he goes somewhere else, he will improve immediately a team."
