Back in March when Donald Trump's crusade for the presidency was in its infancy, he attempted to smear fellow Republican Ted Cruz by claiming he was born in Canada. "He was born in Canada, if you know, and when we all studied our history lessons, you're supposed to be born in this country, so I just don't know how the courts would rule on it," Trump said. Only a few months removed from this statement and it looks like both Trump and Cruz are the best of friends. At least that is what Trump is saying. Now the two are teaming up together next month for a rally against the Iran Nuclear deal.

"Ted Cruz is a friend of mine and a good guy," Trump told MSNBC reporters in Greenville, South Carolina. "We are talking about doing something big in the next two weeks in Washington. It's essentially a protest against the totally incompetent deal we are making with Iran and by the way, even if you break it up, they're going to get $150 million.

"You know what I'd do," Trump continued. "I wouldn't give them the money."

The rally will take place in Washington D.C. on the West Lawn on September 9th. It will be sponsored by Tea Party Patriots, Center for Security Policy and the Zionist Organization of America. Trump says something will happen sooner but the ZOA say the event will stay in that September 9th spot.

Back in May Cruz said the Iran deal essentially guarantees a war.

"This deal makes war a certainty," Cruz said. "Because what President Obama is doing, if this goes forward, is unraveling the international consensus in favor of sanctions. That means the next president who enters the White House in January of 2017 is likely to encounter a world with Iran on the verge of having nuclear weapons where sanctions will have been taken off the table by Barack Obama, because they cannot be placed back with our allies in any reasonable period of time to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, which means in all likelihood the next president will face a binary choice: Either allow Iran to have nuclear weapons or use military force to prevent it."
