Before its the official October premiere date, CBS has released a new photo for the DC Comics superheroine Supergirl. In Episode 3, will Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) and  Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) end up fighting the Red Tornado (Iddo Goldberg)?

As we previously mentioned, the CBS superhero drama will follow the comic book adventures of Kara Zor-El (Benoist). Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped before its destruction. While living on Earth, Kara has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at the tender age of 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always meant to be.

As we mentioned before, the Witches of East End actress has landed the role as Lucy Lane. In the CBS drama, Lucy, who happens to be the sister of Lois Lane, is brash, funny and successful in her own right. Just like in the comics, Lucy will also be an ex-girlfriend of Jimmy Olsen (Brooks),

According to Entertainment Weekly, the first look at Dewan Tatum as Lucy has made its debut. Lois Lane's younger sister will play a recurring role in the new CBS drama. Dewan-Tatum is scheduled to make her appearance in the third episode.

Producer Ali Adler explains Lucy's relationship to Supergirl, "She not only plays a romantic foil with whatever Kara and James [Olsen] are brewing, but people will also be surprised that she's really a woman's woman. She and Kara develop their own friendship, too. We're not just bringing her in to purposefully create tension. She serves a larger story drive."

According to Variety,  the Salem has been cast for the role of "Dr. T.O. Morrow (aka Red Tornado)." Goldberg will play both Morrow and the Red Tornado, but how is unclear. As the site states, "Red Tornado is the most advanced android the world has ever seen. Designed by scientist T.O. Morrow for the U.S. Army as the ultimate super weapon, he soon becomes sentient, posing a grave danger to National City -- including the people Supergirl cares about most."
